It's a Beautful Day in my New Neighborhood

I'm settling into my new neighborhood which happens to have a bead shop in walking's right near the bar, so I had a perfect evening last night with martinis and then some bead chat with Joanne, the owner of Bead Haven.  She just moved the shop into this growing area called the Peninsula Town Center, so how lucky am I?!  haaaaaaa

Even luckier, she had the new Summer issue of Stringing so we oooohed and aaaahed over the great projects, including three of my necklaces!!!  I feel like I've made the Bead Celebrity D-List.  haaaaaaaaaaa  Amidst all the drama of moving and unpacking and starting a new job, it's so nice to be able to chat with someone as excited as I am about crafting and art and creating new pretties.

So here's a little preview of the pieces in this issue...

Once I get back from some leave visiting family, I think there might be a giveaway in order!!!  I can share some extras of the beads I used in these pieces...aquamarine nuggets & cool turquoise bits.  :)

  1. For a minute I thought maybe you moved near me because one of my favorite bead shops here is Las Vegas is called "Bead Haven"!! Imagine my disappointment when I looked up the address. Oh Well, we can be internet blogging buddies right? PS glad your move went well!

  2. Welcome Home. Hope the move went well. Talk about heaven, beads and martinis!!! Sounds like my kind of evening. Enjoy your leave. You deserve it. P.S. Can't wait for Bead Soup!!!!

  3. Wow - three of them? You must be so proud! regards & congrats Stefanie

  4. Oh my...that sounds dangerous! HA! A bead store and a bar within walking distance. Isn't it great to be able to chat with someone sharing your same interest. Love the colors of the top necklace and Congrats on being in Stringing!

  5. Three! A magic number. Can't wait to get my hands on this issue. So many lovely people I know from blog land are in it. Bead store, walking distance, such huge temptation. Do you have discipline? Do you need discipline?

  6. Uh oh, a bead shop and a bar close by....sounds dangerous!

I've got to pick up a copy of the new Stringing magazine. The little sneek peaks you show are very intriguing

  7. I have the latest issue of Stringing and a huge CONGRATS is in order!!! "D-list"???? NO way, you're an A-lister, girlfriend! :-) I was so proud of ya when I saw your THREE pieces in this issue!
Good luck with settling in to your new home. A bead store in walking distance will come in handy with any future beading emergencies! That is a dream come true. :-)

  8. Congratulations! On both the move and magazine. I have to agree, bar and bead store, dangerous combo! :)

  9. Glad the move went well! And I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven--bead store within WALKING distance?!?!? What's better than that, I ask you?!?!?!?

  10. Oh yes, I zeroed in on your chunky turqouise number and have to make one for myself now! Your aquamarine necklace is stunningly classic and another excuse to purchase more stones! Have fun on your pub and bead shop adventures...and keep us posted!

  11. Congratulations on... well everything!! Your jewelry designs are fabulous. I especially have been admiring the one in the middle. I'm glad you posted about them, because I've been wanting to let you know ever since I saw them in the mag. Great job!

Thanks for coming by...I would love to hear what you think!
